FLAMMENWERFER is Hotel Pro Forma’s musical-dramatical performance on the famous Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Hill (1849-1911), his life and art. The music is performed by IKI and Blixa Bargeld, composed by Nils Frahm and Blixa Bargeld, and arranged by IKI and Marie Dahl. The show premiered at Malmö Live in March 2024.

In May 2025 Flammenwerfer won “Musical/Music Theatre of the Year ’25” at Årets Reumert. The jury said: “A cabinet of horrors filled with psychiatric disorders was transformed into a flamethrower of unimaginable beauty. Among swaying palm trees, wild elephants, and Victorian women, the clinical met the artistic. The imaginative met the stylized. Darkness and light merged in a prayer for inner peace. A fully realized artistic portrait that etched itself into the mind—and remains there still.”
